Trinity Church Beaverdam

I have been licensed by the Archbishop of the United Episcopal Church to serve as a priest in Trinity Church Beaverdam, Virginia. The building was erected in 1830 and has been well maintained. The Church community is a gathering of traditional worshipers who have kind hearts. Patty and I are blessed to have been led to this parish. Please pray that we may serve this parish by meeting the needs of the congregation. Our family is excited about doing God's work in the Church and looking forward to what is in store for us here. The Church is 23 miles from our home which is much closer than the 100 miles we traveled to St. John’s In Maryland. We will miss our Church family at St. John's but are glad to be starting a new ministry.

for everything, a first...

Today is the first day of July and the first time Danny has tried, “real” food. The selection for this evening was the pureed green beans. Much to our amazement he gobbled the mush down as if it was chocolate pudding.
Later this evening after supper Tommy decided to show us a “magic trick” and made Danny disappear.
Strangely enough Patty presented me with this photo of Tommy from his first bean tasting. There is no better lad than an Ayres, and we have two of the best.

Reptile Day!

Yes, Today was reptile day at Tommy and Danny’s school. I saw this picture at work and was a bit disturbed; LaRue Ayres would not have approved.

On a Roll!

Danny has mastered the back to front roll during this past week. He likes to show off his rolling skills. Needless to say he has had a lot of floor time over the past week as well.

A Very Busy Weekend

Saturday in Richmond it was very hot outside. Too hot for babies like Danny but for Tommy the heat did not seem to bother him. He enjoyed the afternoon with Mom at the kids fair put on by Patty's company.

Tommy seems so small next to the locomotive. Tommy's pal "Conductor Pete" would have loved this.

He was really impressed by the emergency helicopter. After they returned home we left for grand mother Davis' birthday party in VA Beach. We enjoyed a nice seafood diner on the shore watching the boats. It was good to see the family. Sunday we all went to a Sesame Street production.

Danny enjoyed the lights and sounds; then he fell fast asleep.

The show was good Tommy enjoyed hearing the familiar songs. We returned home and Tommy went to bed for the night. At 5pm.

Over all it was a good weekend.
