Petting Zoo at School!

Tommy had the best time at the petting zoo put on by his school. His grand mother was on hand to take photos and enjoy this time with him. It seems that the highlight of the boys day is when the donkey eliminated his waste. Tommy and his pal's thought that this was most exciting.

There were chickens, ducks, goats, lamb, donkey's and even an alpaca. I think I went to high school with a boy named Al Packa.

Although Danny is in the same school they felt it was to much for him. So he stayed inside where it was cool and calm. The report that we received is that the children were very excited and ran wild.

Perhaps we could find a red pen to keep our kids out of trouble at home? Just kidding.

Tommy enjoyed petting the over fed bunnies as well.

There's Danny... I think, perhaps, Tommy is to big for this game.

Preacher's Kid

Tommy felt it was a good time to take a nap under the pews at Church yesterday, during the service. He stood, he knelt, he stood, he sang, he knelt, he prostrated himself and fell fast asleep.

The Soccer Champ

Tommy received a medal for his outstanding participation in soccer. His coach was an African man named Coach Coffee. Tommy to this day is sure he is saying "Cutch" Coffee. Last night after story time and prayers Tommy was lying on the bed and he would pop his head up every minute or so to look at his medal on the wall. He is very proud of himself and we are proud of him too.

Three Months Old

Danny went for his 3 month photos today. Here is a sampling of his photo shoot. What a little ham. These photos really capture his personality well. Patty is insistent that the boys have their photos done on the exact day of their milestone. While I occasionally flinch at the cost of the photos the end results have been very valuable to remembering the development of both boys.

Our Daily Bread

Last night we sat down for our family meal. Tommy has learned to say the blessing and we encourage him. When he gets off track I will correct him and he finishes the prayer. He starts, "God is great. God is good. Let us thank Him for our food. By His hands we all are fed. Give us Lord our daily bread... Amen. As he gets to the daily bread portion of the prayer I hear some movement coming from his seat. I glanced over to make sure he was not going completely a rye during prayers, and noticed he had turned around to point to the bag of sandwich bread on the kitchen
counter. In his mind our daily bread comes in the "Wonder" variety. After he went to bed Patty and I had a good laugh at his wonderful prayer.

Easter 2011

After services at St. John's the Ayres family went to Lee Ann's for a great dinner. After we ate the kids had a grand Easter egg hunt in the front yard.

Danny did not care for the eggs but he loved the card his Grandmother sent him. It was the funniest thing how he would laugh and talk to the bunny.

We all had a wonderful time.

Danny's Baptism

Daniel Patrick Ayres received the sacrament of Holy Baptism on April 10, 2011. He was very quiet and Tommy was extremely curious. The members of St. John's were very gracious in receiving the newest member.

Bishop Joe administers the sacrament.

Tommy said during the service, "Why are you getting my brother wet."

Lee Ann might try to steal him you have to keep and eye on her.
